اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.

اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِي مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أَوْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ

O Allah, whatever blessing I or any of Your creation have risen upon, is from You alone, without partner. So for You is all praise and unto You all thanks.

Ayatul Kursi — The Verse of the Throne

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ

Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.

Quran 2:255 — Al-Baqarah

Evening Refuge — A'udhu bikalimatillah

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ

O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us, and unto Him is the resurrection.

اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

O Allah, in Your name I die and I live.

Travel Dua — Subhanalladhi sakhkhara

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it by our efforts. And indeed, to our Lord we will surely return.

Entering a Town — Allahumma rabbas-samawat

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ وَرَبَّ الْأَرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all they shade, Lord of the seven earths and all they carry, I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people.

Entering the Home — Allahumma inni as'aluka

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

O Allah, I ask You for the best entrance and the best exit. In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we place our trust.

Leaving the Home — Bismillahi tawakkaltu

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

ISTIKHARA

Istikhara — Seeking Allah's Guidance

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ

O Allah, I seek Your guidance by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power and I do not. You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1162

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.

My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house as a believer, and the believing men and believing women.

Seeking Good in All Affairs — Allahumma la sahla

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا

O Allah, nothing is easy except what You have made easy, and You make the difficult easy if it be Your will.

Sahih Ibn Hibban 974

SUCCESS

Dua of Musa — Rabbi ishrah li sadri

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech.

Quran 20:25-28 — Ta-Ha

ANXIETY

Trusting Allah — Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.

Quran 9:129 — At-Tawbah

ANXIETY

Dua for Anxiety — Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hamm

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by men.

ANXIETY

Distress Relief — La ilaha illallahul-Azeem

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

There is no deity except Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no deity except Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no deity except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.

Dua Between Adhan and Iqamah

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

There is no deity except Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent.

Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
